Structural Engineers

Overview of Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of bridge, culvert, wall plans, specifications, cost estimates, and engineering reports in accordance with AASHTO bridge specifications.
• Assure project delivery processes and procedures are followed, including client and division-specific QA/QC procedures and guidelines.
• Deliver projects within client budgets, assure client satisfaction with our work, and look for marketing opportunities.
• Aid in construction administration duties.
• Support preparation of CAD drawings utilizing MicroStation software.
• Help perform bridge safety inspections and prepare inspection reports.
• Identify problems or defects which may impact on project quality and schedule; bring to the managers attention and provide suggested solutions.
• Actively pursue continuing education, training, or professional development activities to remain current with industry standards.
• Mentor other staff members.
• Approach assignments with a “can do” attitude.
• Promote team spirit along with friendly atmosphere.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent degree is required.  The successful candidate will possess at least two or more years of structural experience, including experience with PennDOT bridge design software.  EIT is preferred.
