- Will provide project hydraulic design, checking and plan production for
transportation projects. Candidates will also be responsible for project erosion
control design, as well as hydraulic and hydrologic modeling. Engineers will be
working on a team with other project engineers and project managers on NCDOT and
SCDOT Design Projects. Other responsibilities will include coordinating with

Transportation
Engineer - Roadway
Project Engineers will be working on a team with other project engineers and
project managers on NCDOT and SCDOT Roadway Design Projects. More specific
duties include: project design, drafting development of plans and construction
estimates. Other responsibilities will include coordinating with other project
engineers on QA/QC. Must be proficient with roadway design and engineering/CAD
software tools. Experience with roadway design is preferred.
Able to develop designs using Microstation, Geopak
and Auto CAD.
Bridge
Project Engineer - The
primary responsibilities of this position will be applying structural
engineering and detailing techniques in the development of bridge design.
Additional duties include: selecting standard bridge engineering/design
procedures, developing structural details using specialized software (Microstation,
AutoCAD, MathCAD, LARSA, Prestress Concrete Design), perform structural load
calculations as well as assisting with geometric layout and quantity
development. This person will work under the direction of a registered
professional engineer on small projects as well as assist senior engineers on
larger bridge projects. Position requires a BSCE, MSCE is a plus.
Previous experience in bridge/structural design is
preferred. EIT is preferred. Aptitude
and demonstrated hands-on experience in Microstation, AutoCAD, MathCAD, LARSA
and Prestress Concrete Design are preferred.
Bridge
Project Engineer/ Project Manager - The
primary duties of this Bridge Engineer include structural planning, analysis and
design for all structural aspects of transportation projects. Typical projects
include bridge (steel plate girder, pre-stressed concreted, segmental and
cable), box culvert and interchange design for highway and railway projects. May
oversee the work of EITs and junior project engineers. May also assume some
project management duties and have a fair amount of client interaction. Position
requires a BS in Structural Engineering/Master’s preferred. PE is preferred with four or more years
of bridge design experience. Demonstrated
hands-on experience using Microstation other CAD design software is a plus.
Engineering
Design CAD Technician - Mid-level
Civil CADD Technician who, with occasional assistance from supervisor or others,
produces drawings, layouts, sketches, maps, and graphic representations of
engineering designs by hand or using computer-aided design software. Candidates
will be responsible for project plan production on bridge, highway and hydraulic
projects. Requires a good working knowledge of CADD, construction documents and
technical knowledge. Typically
requires an Associates degree and 2 or more years of experience. Computer
Skills: MS Office Applications, CADD and Microstation. Previous experience on
bridge and roadway projects is required. Experience on NCDOT and SCDOT projects
is preferred.
