Awards Given to abcdpittsburgh.org

Our goal is to provide a useful resource for bridge design and construction professionals in the Pittsburgh region and beyond, as well as others with an interest in bridges.   We take great pains in delivering quality content that is up-to-date. We have attempted to design our web site for ease of navigation so that you always know where you are relative to the site's overall makeup.

Our efforts have been recognized by the following awards.

	The Spider Award was given to this site for achieving top ten ranking among the major search engines ( Google, AltaVista, etc.) for bridge-related searches.
	This site has been awarded the Pennsylvania Destination of the Day award for 3 April 1999.
	The ABCD website was given the 5 star (the highest level) Coolsite Award by Emerald Abstracts, a compilation of international Civil Engineering abstracts of articles in the world’s top 150 civil engineering journals.
	TenLinks experts, who are technical professionals in the related subject area, comb through the web cataloging and ranking the best and most useful sites in their subject areas.  This site was recommended in the TenLinks Ultimate Civil Engineering Directory in their bridges category.
	Abcdpittsburgh.org is listed at Sites for Teachers, a listing of quality web sites that offer resources for teachers.
	The National Science Teachers Association has selected our Kid's Page as a source "enhanced with online content specifically connected to a single concept" suitable to augment their textbooks.
